Our Mission and Values as a Charitable 501(c)3 registered non-
profit
“Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu”- It is a Sanskrit mantra
which means “May everyone in the whole universe be Happy”.
We aim to fulfill our mission by serving humanity; irrespective of their race, religion
or identity. We try and help the most vulnerable and underprivileged in the
community, locally and globally, depending upon the available funds, on a priority
and need basis.
Men, women, children and families, just like all of us, come to our Matha during
some of the hardest times in their lives. The darkness of abuse, illness,
homelessness, hunger, loneliness from the oldest to the youngest, we say yes.
Simply put, it is the mission of Balaji Matha to be there in those darkest, hardest
moments to provide help and hope for a better future.
As the need for our services grows and becomes increasingly complex, we
are working to adapt and respond. We respond in multiple ways – focussing
on mental and physical health, meeting basic food needs in times of crisis
and creating pathways out of poverty via education. In these areas, we focus
our services in multiple programs at more than 3 locations in United States of
America and India.
